The only female among the newly constituted Asante Kotoko nine (9) member Board, Evelyn Nsiah-Asare has expressed how astounded she is with the number of congratulatory messages she has received in less than 24 hours of her appointment onto the enviable position led by Dr Kwame Kyei.
Ms. Nsiah Asare, who is currently the Acting Head of Sports for the Sunyani Technical Institute while thanking her colleagues (football administrators and journalists) on one of Ghana’s highly ranked Whatsapp Group, GH Sports,which has a number of top football administrators, past and present ministers and staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; as well as top journalists across Ghana, also called for the support to enable her and his colleagues achieve to the expectation of the King of the Ashanti Kingdom and Ghana as a whole.
“I am overwhelmed with all the congratulatory messages from you, my cherished colleague and bosses, since yesterday (Thursday). I am much grateful and trusting that, with your support, we can achieve greatness… Stay blessed”, she wrote.
She has served on a number of committees and in several capacities related to football especially, women football in Ghana. Among the few are: Spokesperson, Local Organizing Committee of the 2018 Women’s AFCON, Vice Chairperson, Brong Ahafo Women Football Association, Assistant Coach, Ghana U-14 Ladies National Team, etc.
The new Board of Directors of Kotoko are expected to provide the club with the stability of a professional administration equipped with the technological and analytical skills appropriate for the administration of a professional sporting club, among other things that will make Kotoko a viable on and off the pitch.
