One of the Directors of the new Asante Kotoko Board, Mr Kwadwo Boateng Genfi has in an interview of Kumasi based media outlet, Kessben FM/TV has revealed that, winning the Ghana Premier League for the Porcupine Warriors will be their immediate assignment among other things; while expressing his gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II for such a great honor conferred on him and his colleagues.
The Board Chairman for Ghana EXIM Bank confirmed being a true Kotoko supporter and how he used to play football.
“The Appointment to the Kotoko Board is an honor done me and my colleagues and we are grateful to Otumfuor”
“I was born into Kotoko and have been a supporter since. I was a footballer myself. My playing style was like Opoku Afriyie of blessed memory”, he said.
The Banker added, “Football is about quality players and we will look around the country and beyond to get the best players for Kotoko”.
When asked what their interim goals where, Mr Genfi had this to say, “Our immediate target will be winning the league and then proceed to do well in Africa”
He also called on the supporters to continuously lend support to the team.
“The Supporters are very important and we will urge them to continue to support the team”, said the member of the newly formed 9 member Asante Kotoko Board.
